Beta-carotene is the “pre-cursor” to Vitamin A which is essential for skin and eye health. Each individual carrot contains 8,353 international units of Vitamin A, which means that it has 4,142 micrograms of beta-carotene.

The math just done there is describing that when your body processes beta-carotene it brings in an enzyme which snips it in half hereby creating two molecules of Vitamin A. In short, you’d be getting 278% of your recommended daily intake just by consuming a whole carrot, imagine juice form…

Carrots also have other essential vitamins such as Vitamin C, K, E, and B 1, 2, and 6!

Drinking eight ounces of carrot juice would give you 35% of your recommended daily intake of Vitamin C. Vitamin C boosts your immune system, helping you fight the common cold, and even helps to promote the production of collagen in your skin helping you to keep your skin glowing and fresh! Vitamins K, E, and B aren’t exactly the star of the carrot, but we aren’t kicking them out of the room.

Carrots are rich in potassium!

Carrots have 195mg of potassium which classes carrots as a high potassium based food, but the way to think of it is like a carrot has one quarter of the potassium as a whole banana. However, if you were to drink an 8 ounce glass of carrot juice that is containing more than four carrots…see where I am going with this?

Carrot juice can improve your oral health

Aside from being full of Vitamin A which helps to improve cellular tissue within bones such as your teeth, drinking carrot juice can increase excess saliva, kinda gross if you think about it, but in truth saliva is what helps fight bacteria that grows on your teeth and gums and it prevents halitosis aka bad breath.
